Planning for Development of Properties at Yonge and Summerhill

Woodcliffe Landmark Properties has developed some exemplary projects at Yonge and Summerhill in Midtown Toronto including the adaptive reuse of unique heritage structures like the Summerhill Railway Station and is now looking to continuing development activities on its remaining holdings. It was felt that the most effective way to proceed would be to undertake a small area “precinct planning” exercise that would look at these properties together and in the context of the larger neighbourhood setting and engaging key actors with the goal of achieving a shared vision for this area that would provide direction for the sequential development of the individual sites. Greenberg Consultants was engaged to work with a multi-disciplinary team to undertake this work including developing an understanding of the physical opportunities for built form and public realm and the synergies that could be tapped in creating a dynamic sense of place in this strategic location.
