Calgary Riverwalk
Calgary
Calgary's Riverwalk will extend for more than four kilometers along the Bow and Elbow Rivers through unique urban precincts, boasting some of the city's most significant attractions. The Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) engaged Ken Greenberg in 2007 as Urban Design Advisor to a team led by Stantec Consulting to explore the potential to revitalize the riverbank and the adjacent urban fabric. The Riverwalk Master Plan has been implemented and is providing a new context and a comprehensive framework for decision-making including relationships to the eastern portion of Chinatown, the East Village, Fort Calgary, Victoria Park, and the Stampede Grounds.
